New Italian zeppelin mail catalogue out

Fiorenzo Longhi published an new zeppelin mail catalogue: Zeppelin mail from Italy, Italian Colonies, San Marino and Vatican City from the period 1929 – 1939. This covers the flights of LZ-127 Graf Zeppelin, LZ-129 Hindenburg and LZ-130 Graf Zeppelin II. 972 covers are listed and 730 of them are illustrated. Included is also a price list for all of this material. The book will be presented on October 21, 2009 at ITALIA2009, the international stamp show at Rome, Italy.

BEIJING 2009 AEROPEX – online application for exhibitors

BEIJING 2009 AEROPEX has released the revised prospectus for exhibitors with the “Special Regulations for BEIJING 2009 AEROPEX”, the document Beijing-2009-Aeropex-regulations-REVISED.pdf can be viewed and downloaded here .

The most important change of the revised version of the “Special Regulations for BEIJING 2009 AEROPEX” is that now ALL airmail collectors from all over the world are invited and eligible for submitting an application for BEIJING 2009 AEROPEX. A membership in a club or society affiliated with FISA is no longer required.

If your aerophilatelic exhibit has received a Vermeil medal on a national level exhibition and if you are member of an airmail society, then you are eligible to submit an application for exhibiting at BEIJING 2009 AEROPEX.

If you want to exhibit at BEIJING 2009 AEROPEX, you have to submit an application form. You can do this online – this link http://www.ezep.de/aeropex2009/apply.html brings you to the exhibitors page where you can submit your application online! To apply will not take longer then 60 seconds.

The dates are set for AEROPEX 2009 at Beijing (China): November 12 – 16, 2009. AEROPEX is a philatelic show focussing on airmail stamps and airmail transportation.

The organisation committee is still waiting for final appovement by a government department, so at the moment AEROPEX 2009 is still pending! But we all are optimistic and looking forward for Beijing and AEROPEX 2009.

David Lu candidate for GPI at Philakorea 2009

David Lu won with his Chinese zeppelin and airmail exhibit a Large Gold medal and a Special Award at Philakorea 2009. David was also a candidate for the Grand Prix International.
